We met up with my Texan second cousin in central London this evening. My dad showed him Benjamin Franklin’s house, and my second cousin said, “Didn’t he invent the theory of relativity?”

Last night I saw Les Miserables in London for the third time and it was amazing. You know how most popular things are terrible? Les Mis is something that actually deserves all of its success. Half the audience was weeping from “A Little Fall of Rain” onwards, there were standing ovations…and I love that feeling when you come out of the theatre all in a daze, into the lights of the West End.

David Thaxton was an A+ Javert, but Quast will always be my favourite.
