Roxy Music - 2HB

Oh, I was moved by your screen dream
Celluloid pictures of living
Your death could not kill our love for you
Take two people, romantic
Smoky nightclub situation
Your cigarette traces a ladder

Here’s looking at you, kid
Celebrate years
Here’s looking at you, kid
Wipe away tears
Long time, since we’re together
Now I hope it’s forever

Ideal love flies away now
White jacket, mmm, black tie wings too
You gave her away to the hero

Words don’t express my meaning
Notes could not spell out the score
But finding not keeping’s the lesson

Here’s looking at you, kid
Hard to forget
Here’s looking at you, kid
At least not yet
Your memory stays
It lingers ever
Will fade away never

Lana Del Rey - 5 Lolitas (What happens when you layer all four demos and the album version)

This is so sick.

This sounds like it should be a Bond song.

E.M.Forster, Maurice

This dialogue is incredible. It gives Clive his well deserved smack-down (in possibly the most refined way), and it helps further the plot. With that said, it still kills me that this scene was cut from the movie. They filmed it, but they still cut it out. Why?

Saint Sebastian, Detail. by Guino Reni

I visited my flatmate in hospital today. Apparently there was a stage where they were thinking about amputating her leg, but in the end they didn’t have to, thank god.

I was just thinking about how we’ve all been a bit unlucky this year. I accidentally put my hand through a window, one flatmate was hit by a car and the other flatmate slipped and fell in a puddle of vomit at Termini. Hopefully that’s it for 2014.
